2026 Week 6 (Ohio & Pennsylvania)

2026 Week 6 (Ohio & Pennsylvania)

Week 6 was back around home. With four games planned for, but one ultimately was axed from my weekend. My Thursday and Saturday games were simply whatever was near me. Not that I was lacking options. Friday night was the long trip. Only two WPIAL games featured two new teams in a new stadium. And I put in to cover one of them. Continue reading

2026 Week 5 (Ohio & Pennsylvania)

2026 Week 5 (Ohio & Pennsylvania)

Week 5 turned out really good for me. I was still at home in Ohio, and had a lot of options for games throughout the weekend. Though, I had my eyes set on just a few. Continue reading

2026 Week 4 (Ohio & Pennsylvania)

2026 Week 4 (Ohio & Pennsylvania)

After so much travel the first four weeks of the season, it was nice to have, truly, my first local week. Relatively speaking. The closest game was in Mercer. I had a fairly set schedule with a mix of Ohio and Pennsylvania games. The only real concern was the rain.

2026 Week 3 (Tri-State)

2026 Week 3 (Tri-State)

Week three brought me back home. After three weeks of seeing games all over the country, I started my weekend back in Ohio. With plans to add three more states to my 2026 totals.

2026 Week 2 (Mountain States)

The second week of my long trip around the country started in Glendive, Montana. On a Monday. Overall, I had planned a few days traveling around Montana before getting to Pocatello, Idaho for Thursday.

2026 Week 1 (Upper Midwest)

2026 Week 1 (Upper Midwest)

This was a very long trip. And it’s taken a while to have some free time to write about it. Weeks 1 and 2 were a 5,627 mile jaunt around the country.

2026 Week 0 (Georgia & Florida)

2026 Week 0 (Georgia & Florida)

The 2026 Season seemed to be so far away and suddenly it was the next day. With the way the schedules worked out, Georgia’s season started with four games before the rest of the state. Because of the World Cup, the schedule at Mercedes-Benz Stadium had been quite restrictive. The venue hosts the Falcons and the Atlanta United FC MLS team. Continue reading “2026 Week 0 (Georgia & Florida)”

2025 Year In Review

2025 Year In Review

I saw the fewest games in a season in several years. Just 82 overall. But they were some of the best games and a lot of fun along the way. I found myself in Montana a lot. As well as seeing state championships in three new states. One being Montana, and the other two were weekends in Wyoming and Oklahoma. Bringing my total to 30 states that I’ve attended a state championship game in. Continue reading

2025 Week 18 (Texas)

2025 Week 18 (Texas)

I’m going to do this recap a bit different than previous weeks. Of the twelve games in Texas, the daily routine was fairly common. So, this will be more about the trip down to Dallas, and the drive home. With some notes and comments about the games. Continue reading

2025 Week 17 (Oklahoma)

2025 Week 17 (Oklahoma)

Week 17 was the first half of a two weekend trip to close out the season. I had considered covering the PIAA Championships in Mechanicsburg. However, with pass limitations I let some more local photographers take up sideline positions.

At first, I was going to go to North Carolina. And that way I could see at least six games. UNC was hosting two doubleheaders on Thursday and Friday. While two different locations had doubleheaders on Saturday. Continue reading “2025 Week 17 (Oklahoma)”
