2021 Week 13 (Minnesota)
This was the second week of a two weekend trip. This two week trip was planned when both the Iowa and Minnesota semifinals were scheduled on consecutive weekends. I had been to Iowa’s semifinals now four times. And this was going to be my third time seeing Minnesota semifinals. 2021 Week 12 (Iowa)
There was a rather good reason I didn’t see any games during Week 11. I had plans. But, my back had other plans. With my Week 12 plans including heading out Monday, I decided that missing a few games and healing up was the best situation. Though, that didn’t make Week 12 any easier. 2021 Week 10 (Great Plains)
So, these are all going to be just a tad late. The Sunday after the Week 9 games, I was back in El Paso, Texas and my back was just not having a good time. My next stop was near Lubbock. And I managed through the week and on Thursday afternoon, was looking for any game. I had planned to be in Dodge City for the Six-Man Championships of Kansas, dubbed the Wild West Bowl, but other than that, hadn’t thought about this weekend too much in advance. 2021 Week 9 (Southwest)
So, I’m catching up on these now. Unfortunately, I’ve had some issues, personally, that have kept me from doing much of anything after this weekend of games. And though I did manage a few more games in Week 10, it was not without some issues. So, I mostly stuck to live updating and photographs. And haven’t gotten much onto PA Football News.
I’m not happy about it, either. For one, I have a bad back. And I managed to hurt it before heading to El Paso for the week. And then, to make it worse, Sunday after returning from El Paso, I really wrenched my back pretty good. So, I was out of commission for most of the week. But managed to be ambulatory at some point.

2021 Week 7 (Kansas)
I figured at some point this season, I’d be making a trip west. I just didn’t think it would be this weekend. However, it was going to be an area I was now quite familiar with.
Junction City, located about two hours west of Kansas City, was hosting a Thursday night game against Topeka. I have been to Junction City before. In fact, I attended a Junction City Brigade baseball game at one of the best venues in collegiate summer league baseball: Rathert Stadium. Continue reading “2021 Week 7 (Kansas)”
2021 Week 6 (New York & Pennsylvania)
If any week didn’t go as planned, it would be this one. It started out with plans to see a Thursday night game in New York, a Friday night contest in Smethport, and then back to New York for an afternoon game between St. Joseph’s and Erie, and head back to Erie for a night game at Mercyhurst Prep. All four games would’ve been new places for me.
But, then those preliminary plans started unraveling. First, the Thursday game was cancelled when Gowanda/Pine Valley was unable to complete their game with Fredonia the week prior. 2021 Week 5 (Pennsylvania & New York)
As has become a custom, this week did not go as planned. The schedule mostly went as planned. But, Saturday night threw a monkey wrench into the plans. Cochranton was hosting Northwestern. Though I’d have seen both previously, and had been to Cochranton for a rare Thursday game years ago, it worked with a trip to Panama, New York and a short drive home Saturday night. 2021 Week 4 (Pennsylvania)
This week went a little off-kilter compared to the original plans. I had planned a Thursday night in Ohio. And my Saturday was a bit different. Schedule wise, things went a bit well after the initial upheaval. However, I did have some issues along the way. Mostly on Saturday. 2021 Week 3 (Ohio & Indiana)
Week 3 was a long awaited return to Indiana for myself. After COVID had restricted opportunities to visit the Hoosier State, a trip back to Muncie for the CIC Day was circled on the calendar the moment we saw it posted on the schedule.
The CIC Day is when all four league games of the Central Indiana Conference are played at Scheumann Stadium, the home stadium of Ball State in Muncie, Indiana.
