2021 Week 2 (Pennsylvania & New York)
This week went mostly to plan. A trip up to Clymer, New York after just being there twice in the spring was a highlight of the week. Also, getting a chance to see New Brighton play after my camera issues at the game last fall. Also, I had planned for two games that for different reasons fell through. 2020 Week S7 (Pennsylvania)

2020 Week S6 (Pennsylvania)
Though my plans showed last week that I would be in Philadelphia once again. That was not the initial plans. I wasn’t even planning to be in Pennsylvania. I had planned four games in New York. However, one big caveat was thrown in: Spring Break. With many schools in NY operating with spring break even if they were ‘open’, meant that many schools were a bit tougher to get ahold of. 2020 Week S4 (Pennsylvania)
This was my second straight weekend just in Pennsylvania. And unlike Week S3, there were a lot of changes and more changes up until the day of the trip.
Started at home, as most of these weekends do, and took I-80 to I-476. Though, I missed my exit, and instead had to backtrack on routes 115 and 903 back to I-476. I had intended to stop for food and gas at the Wawa, and my little faux pas had put me too far behind to backtrack along I-80. So, I stopped at the service plaza on I-476. There was a sign for a Quiznos. There was no Quiznos open. There also was a bus that had just stopped, making a huge backlog at the Burger King. So, Auntie Anne’s it was, for lunch. 2020 Week S3 (Pennsylvania)
This was the first weekend of the spring season where everything went as planned. With no changes to the original schedule. Although there was an added game. Originally, there was no Saturday night game in Pennsylvania.
Friday morning, I was up and early and heading out by 7:30am. I followed I-80 east to I-476. Stopped at the Wawa stuck in limbo between the two interstates. Got gas and a hoagie. 2020 Week S2 (Maryland & Pennsylvania)
With Pennsylvania’s southeast corner starting Spring Football, I wasn’t thinking things would go perfectly smooth. However, I wasn’t anticipating the turbulance the first week would posess.

2020 Week 15 (Pennsylvania)
Week 15 was my annual trip to the Pennsylvania State Championships in Hershey. Even in this Covid-crazy world, at least some things stay the same. But, the more they stay the same, the more they change. Instead of three days, all six games were squeezed into two days. Which made for two really long days minding the sidelines. 2020 Week 14 (Pennsylvania)
This was not the week I had planned. Though with Covid, there wasn’t a lot of certainty with those plans. The Ohio State Championships were scheduled to be held at Fortress Obetz just south of Columbus. At least that was the idea.
However, Ohio, like Pennsylvania, was going through some things heading toward their title games. Namely, Franklin County had increased restrictions. This severely restricted media covering the games. And then, the next day, bumped the games from Franklin County and moved them to Massillon.

2020 Week 11 (Pennsylvania)
My plans were all over the place this weekend. But, luckily they solidifed into a workable schedule. This was also the first weekend in a while where all my games were in Pennsylvania.
It started with Thursday. A consolation game was scheduled between the one-win Carlynton Cougars and the winless Riverview Raiders. On a Thursday. I had planned to see Carlynton’s home game against Brentwood earlier this season, but due to Covid, was unable. So, it was a nice change of pace for something to work out. 2020 Week 10 (Ohio & Pennsylvania)
As the regular season winds to a close in a mish-mash of regular season, playoff, and consolation games, things are getting a little easier for scheduling. But, that doesn’t mean there isn’t weird things that crop up.
Then, there’s things unrelated to scheduling and travel. Such, as a brand new camera failing right before a game. But, I’ll get to that.
